Every item purchased or sold on Novelship is guaranteed to be 100% authentic.In our next stage of growth and expansion, we are looking for a Software Engineer, based in Singapore, Malaysia, Taiwan or Indonesia to join our tech team.
Brief Description of the Role:
As a Software Engineer, you will join the Engineering Team and be responsible for developing and managing Backend services, Data Services, Databases, APIs, Cloud Hostings and Automations. You will work on Internal Systems, Logistics Integrations and Warehouse Management Systems. Ideally, this role may be based in Singapore, Malaysia, Taiwan or Indonesia, but will work remotely and closely with colleagues from the headquarter in Singapore or colleagues in other parts of Asia.
Requirements:
- Proficiency in Javascript, Node & Express
- Proficiency in PostgreSQL & DBMS
- Experience with Python, Typescript and NestJs is a bonus.
- Experience with database design, API design, Basic algorithms and data structures.
- 2 to 4 years of professional experience as a Software/Backend Engineer.
In this role, you will:
- Develop applications, services, Infra and automations to support Novelship’s Internal services.
- Design systems to solve novel problems with modern cloud technology and industry best practices.
- Engage in problem definition and resolution: You'll collaborate with a diverse group of engineers and business owners across the company.
- Produce logical outcomes: Creating performant, well-tested, and easy-to-maintain code-based distributed infrastructure. We value collaboration and experimentation in order to achieve the best results.
- Be a technical project owner, driving projects from requirements to completion stage.
- Participate in code and design reviews to maintain our high development standards.
- Enhance existing applications by identifying opportunities for improvement
- Follow our engineering best practices, and ensure alignment with our Leadership Principles.
- Architect and develop a data-intensive enterprise solution with Node JS, Express JS, MongoDB, AWS.
- Compile and analyse data, processes, and code to troubleshoot problems and identify areas for improvement.
