In 2009, the company released their next-generation ITA matrix, which incorporated sophisticated algorithms and search capabilities that allow users to search flights by day, week, or month, as well as search for multi-city itineraries with multiple legs. In addition, ITA’s QPX engine revolutionized the booking experience, allowing customers to choose flights from a variety of criteria including airline, flight time, and price.
In an effort to further extend their capabilities and reach, ITA Software joined forces with Google in 2010. This partnership gave ITA access to Google’s impressive infrastructure and enabled them to produce world-class search, pricing, and booking solutions for users of Google Flight Search and Google Hotel Finder. With the help of Google, ITA Software is now able to offer superior flight and hotel search results to millions of people.
To meet the ever-growing demand for mobile applications, the company collaborated with Apple, Dell, and Microsoft to develop a suite of mobile applications. ITA software developed mobile apps for the iPhone and iPad, and released versions of its Air Search engine, QPX engine, and Matrix service to major mobile platform providers including Google and Yahoo.
